The Center for Indigenous Resilience, Culture, and Maternal health Equity (CIRCLE) is 1 of 12 Maternal Health Centers of Excellence funded by the National Institutes of Health (NIH) IMPROVE Initiative - Implementing a Maternal health and Pregnancy Outcomes Vision for Everyone. The Center is a product of ongoing collaboration among Oklahoma tribes, health researchers and practitioners, and community members across the Southern Plains Region. CIRCLE aims to bring together individuals to more deeply understand the sources of Indigenous maternal mortality and morbidity and to translate scientific results into solutions that eliminate maternal health inequities.
